Brief Instructions
1. Installation Preparation
- Power off the SCINTREX CG-5 gravimeter before installation to avoid short circuit or equipment damage.
- Check the battery for any damage (such as shell cracks or leakage) and ensure the battery contacts are clean and free of dust or oxide.
- Prepare a clean cloth to wipe the battery contacts and gravimeter battery compartment if necessary, ensuring good electrical connection.
2. Installation Steps
- Open the battery compartment of the CG-5 gravimeter according to the instrument manual, and align the battery contacts with the compartment contacts.
- Gently insert the battery into the compartment until it is firmly fixed (do not force insertion to avoid damaging the contacts or battery).
- Close the battery compartment cover and secure it properly; for hot-swapping, directly replace the battery without powering off the instrument to avoid measurement interruption.
- Power on the gravimeter and check the power display to ensure the battery is properly connected and supplies power normally.
3. Usage & Maintenance
- Avoid mixing this battery with other types or brands of batteries to prevent equipment failure or battery leakage.
- Charge the battery with a compatible 110/240V charger; do not overcharge or over-discharge to extend its service life.
- Keep the battery away from sharp objects, high temperature, open flames and corrosive substances; avoid severe impact or extrusion.
- Regularly inspect the battery shell and contacts; if leakage, bulging or damage is found, stop using it immediately and dispose of it according to local environmental protection regulations.
- When not in use for a long time, store the battery in a dry, cool and ventilated environment with 50%-70% power, and charge it every 3 months to maintain battery performance.
