Brief Operation Manual (Quick Start Guide)
1. Pre-Work Preparation
- Unpack the instrument and check the integrity of the host, battery, charger, tripod, and accessories. Fully charge the battery before first use.
- Set up the tripod on a stable surface, mount the total station on the tripod, and complete the centering and leveling work using the laser plummet and circular vial.
- Turn on the instrument by pressing the power button; the absolute encoding dial requires no initialization, and the system will enter the measurement interface within seconds.
2. Basic Measurement Operations
- Angle Measurement: Aim the telescope at the target, align the crosshair precisely, and press the “ANG” key to record horizontal and vertical angle data. The dual-axis compensator will automatically correct tilt errors during measurement.
- Distance Measurement: For prism mode, install the prism on the target point, aim at the prism center, and press the “DIST” key to start ranging; the instrument will display slope distance, horizontal distance, and height difference in real time. For reflectorless mode, switch to “RL” mode, aim directly at the target surface, and press the “DIST” key to complete the measurement.
- Data Storage: Press the “REC” key to save measurement data to the internal memory; the instrument can store up to 10000 data blocks, which can be exported to a computer via the RS-232 data cable for post-processing.
3. Daily Maintenance & Precautions
- After field work, wipe the instrument surface with a soft dry cloth, and keep the lens clean with a professional lens cloth. Do not touch the lens with bare hands.
- Remove the battery when the instrument is not in use for a long time, and store it in a dry, cool environment away from direct sunlight and corrosive substances.
- Regularly calibrate the compensator and level vial to ensure measurement accuracy; we provide full calibration and after-sales support for all sold units.
- Do not disassemble the instrument without professional guidance; any unauthorized disassembly will void the after-sales service.
