Leica TPS1200 Series Handle – High-Precision Replacement for Geophysical Survey
Product Overview
The Leica TPS1200 Series Handle is a professional original replacement part designed for Leica TPS1200 series total stations (TPS1201, TPS1202, TPS1203), widely used in geophysical exploration, engineering measurement and topographic mapping. This handle features sturdy metal construction, non-slip grip and precise fit, enabling safe and convenient transport of the total station while protecting its internal high-precision components. It ensures the total station’s stability during movement, which is crucial for maintaining its high precision (1″ angular precision, 1mm+1.5ppm ranging precision) and reliable operation in harsh outdoor field conditions.

Brief Installation Instructions
- Preparation: Turn off the Leica TPS1200 total station and place it on a stable, clean surface. Prepare a suitable hex wrench (matching the mounting screws) and a dry soft cloth for cleaning, avoiding sharp tools to prevent damage to the device.
- Remove Old Handle: Locate the mounting screws of the old handle on the top of the total station. Use the hex wrench to gently unscrew the screws (store screws in a small box to avoid loss) and carefully remove the old handle from the mounting interface.
- Clean Installation Area: Use the dry soft cloth to wipe the handle mounting interface and screw holes, removing dust, dirt, or debris to ensure a tight fit and stable mounting, which is essential for protecting the total station’s high-precision components.
- Install New Handle: Align the new Leica TPS1200 Handle with the mounting interface and screw holes. Insert the screws and use the hex wrench to tighten them evenly (do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the threads) until the handle is firmly fixed without loosening.
- Verification: Gently shake the handle to confirm it is securely fixed. Lift the total station by the handle to test load-bearing performance, ensuring no looseness. Turn on the total station to confirm normal operation and that the handle does not interfere with its 1″ angular and 1mm+1.5ppm ranging precision.
